Dalimilova Rozhledna - lookout tower on Větrov Hill

Dalimilova Rozhledna is one of the most beautiful lookout towers in the Sudetes. The stone structure built on the summit of Větrov (918 m above sea level) in the Czech Rychlebske Mountains is a replica of the former tower that stood on Śnieżnik. It was built in 2021 by Dalimil Mika as a completely private initiative. The idea for the tower came from the son of the owners of the Paprsek shelter, who have promoted tourism in the Rychlebske Mountains on the Polish-Czech border for several decades.

Dalimil Mika, inspired by stories from his parents about the tower on Śnieżnik that was demolished in 1973, decided to build a faithful copy of it on Větrov. The tower offers tourists beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, including Śnieżnik, and a panorama of the Polish-Czech border region.

An easy, short trail leads to Dalimilova Rozhledna, accessible for both hikers and families with children. Near the tower, there is the Paprsek shelter, which offers tourists a rest and a large free playground for children.

Dalimilova Tower is also an interesting attraction for history lovers, as it not only resembles the former tower on Śnieżnik but also the tradition of building such structures in the Sudetes, which dates back to the 19th century. From its top, there is a view of the entire Rychlebske Mountains and the surrounding mountain ranges in Poland and the Czech Republic.

Dalimilova Rozhledna is not only a place for tourists looking for views but also a symbol of passion for protecting local heritage and promoting tourism in the region.
