The PTTK Śnieżnik Shelter is located at an altitude of 1218 m above sea level.
Located at an altitude of 1218 m above sea level, on the western slope of Śnieżnik, the 'Na Śnieżniku' shelter is a unique place with a history dating back to the 19th century. Picturesquely situated on the vast Hala pod Śnieżnikiem, it offers tourists unforgettable views and the atmosphere of a true mountain retreat.

A history with the spirit of the past
The first buildings on the hall appeared as early as 1809, but the true history of the shelter began in 1871, when Princess Marianne of the Netherlands, a great admirer of the Sudetes, financed the construction of a typical Sudeten shelter in the Swiss style. Initially, it functioned as an inn, attracting travelers and mountain hiking enthusiasts. In the following decades, the facility underwent multiple modernizations, and after World War II, despite a period of abandonment, it regained its tourist function. In the 1980s, it underwent a thorough renovation, thanks to the efforts of Zbigniew Fastnacht, whose name it bears today.
